Your pet’s dental health is assessed at every regular physical examination at Summerlyn Pet Hospital. Dental disease is one of the most common problems that we see in veterinary medicine.
It is estimated that 90% of pets over 2 years of age have significant mouth disease and of that 90%, fully 50% require immediate attention. Some signs of dental problems are bad breath, a yellow or brown tartar buildup around the gums, red and swollen gums, broken or worn teeth, or masses or swellings along the gums. Any of these problems need to be addressed before they cause permanent damage.
Our Hospital is equipped with all of the equipment necessary to provide routine dental care for your pets, including digital X-ray, cleanings, periodontal treatment/surgery, and extractions.
